David "The Dragon" Pham is the Player of the Year
David "The Dragon" Pham is Cardplayer Magazine’s “Player of the Year” 2007. Pham now joins legends like Men Nguyen and T.J. Cloutier with multiple titles.David Pham is definately one of the best poker players in the world. But "The Dragon" had to compete against stars like Jonathan Little and JC Tran, whom at the beginning of the year dominated the poker world. But in late August, Pham finished second to the winner Dan Harrington in the WPT Legends Event, this put Pham in pole position in the standings. To say that 2007 was successful for Pham is an understatement.
Last year he cashed in 18 tournaments, made it to the final table 11 times, won 4 events and earnt $1,800,000 in tournaments alone. The 45-year old Vietnam born poker legend is known for his aggressive playing style, which has given him two WSOP* bracelets and over $7 million in tournament revenues. Rivered think that Pham´s successes will continue during 2008. Recently he finished 4th in the EPT-event in Bahamas and won $600,000. Who will be able to slay “The Dragon” this year?
