The Texas Showdown
One of the biggest highlights of 2008 is the launch of the new $5000 Texas Showdown tournament. The Tournament is going to be a blast, and will be launched on Monday the 3rd of March 2008. This will allow for a fantastic series of tourneys which will start fresh every month, with a main event on the last Sunday of the month for $5000.Essentially Golden Riviera Poker will have 3 Freerolls every week on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday and the top 50 places from each Freeroll will win a seat to the Texas Showdown. On the last Sunday of every month, the Texas Showdown will take place, which will see the 600 qualifying players fight it out for a share of $5000. To qualify:
- You must finish in the top 50 places of any given Freeroll.
- If you are a non depositor you must make a minimum deposit of $20 and rake 25 hands within 3 days of qualifying.
- All Freerolls must have a minimum of 200 players for the Freeroll to start.
Leap Year Promotion
The figure 29 plays a significant role in all the leap year promotions and Golden Riviera Poker will be adding 29k to the BadBeat jackpot – potentially making it a very special bumper payday for one lucky player, one time you do want to get rivered!And it gets better.
