In tournament poker one area that all top poker players know inside-out is the odds of their hand winning in specific situations against other hands. Most good poker players don't like playing all-ins that are close to even money and some will even fold as a decent favourite rather than risk a big all-in early on.

For most players, even the greats, there comes a point in a tournament when playing an all-in is necessary. When this happens you should always look to be a clear favourite. Below is a list of possible confrontations and the odds, so that you don't find yourself on the wrong end of a losing proposition. Odds on the turn have been left out, as these can simply be calculated as the number of outs for and against you out of the 44 remaining cards in the deck.
