Poker Terms, starting hands, poker hand rankings and probabilities

Poker Lingo

Board - Community cards shared in Omaha and hold'em.
Pot-Limit - Game of poker where the maximum bet is the size of the pot.
Fifth Street - In omaha and hold'em this is the last card, also known as the river.
Bottom Pair - A pair using the lowest card on the board.
Fold Equity - Extra value a player receives from a bet based on the chance that the opponent might fold.
Bicycle - 5 high straight (A-2-3-4-5). Also called a wheel.
Bounty - Bonus money paid to a poker player for knocking out a specific player from a tournament.
Check in the Dark - To check (refuse to bet) before the next card is dealt, made verbally before the next round of cards are dealt.
Hand for Hand - In tournament play each table completes a hand before any table can begin a new one, this only occurs just before the bubble to guarantee fairness.
The Bubble - Going out of a tournament one place off the money.
